We came into Utah from northern Arizona after leaving the North Rim of the Grand Canyon National Park. It was a dramatic change descending off of the plateau to the deserts of southern Utah. We were headed for Zion National Park.
The badlands were vast and barren.
If you put yourself in between there two pictures you will get an idea of
what the view was from the roadway. We followed a ridge with steep drop-offs on
each side for quite a way but made it through OK.
